My brain froze for a second due to the sheer beauty of this cover. Of course, all of your art is beautiful but this one took my breath away. He looks upset about something. I wonder what it could be... Well, I'll just have to wait and see.

Thanks. I was looking to encapsulate his demeanor during this season, which was a more pensive and vulnerable Angel than his normal brooding.

Thanks! I had planned on adding more brush strokes to break up the smoothness so that the "painted" effect was stonger, but time constraints came into play.

Nice!! Could have fooled me! :) The use of lighting and sheer amount of detail begins to do that for you. Maybe the scale I am looking at (smaller due to computer screen) contributes as well.

lol, yeah, I tend to work a little backwards in that respect, where I rough the image up after I've already refined it. I would never do it that way with traditional paint, but with digital, rough "brush strokes" are less spontaneous and take some finessing to make them feel natural...so I like to do selectively at the end.

Nice!!! :) Yeah, digital painting is its own world in a lot of respects. Layers always let you have the best of both worlds as well... both sharp and smudged effect! :)
